Set the festive season into full swing with this brand new and exciting tour where we combine the magic of Leeds German Christmas market with the amazing illuminations of Durham Lumiere and the enchanting decorative grandeur of Castle Howard.

Day 1

We depart our local pick up points early morning and head north for our weekend of bright lights and festive fun.  We arrive in Leeds mid-late morning where the Christkindelmarkt is in full swing.  This annual event hosts over 40 traditionally decorated chalets for us to browse, all selling festive treats, gifts, food, and drink.  After lunch, we continue to Durham where we step into the light as the city celebrates the 10th anniversary of its spectacular Lumiere light festival.  Enjoy free time in this beautiful city and as night falls are dazzled and amazed by the eye-catching illuminations that create a fully immersive experience.  We arrive at our overnight hotel in the late evening.

Day 2 

After breakfast, we depart our hotel and make our way to Castle Howard where “A Christmas Masquerade” transforms each room for the festive season (entrance included).  Experience the magnificent and sumptuous decorations as you journey through the House’s grand staterooms.  Open fires, candlelight and live music evoke all that we love about this special time of year with the iconic 25 foot Christmas tree adorned with over 3000 baubles providing a breath-taking highlight in the Great Hall.  After a magically festive time, we continue our journey south, arriving back at our pick up points late evening.

I understand that it is my responsibility to be at the departure point at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The ITT Office is not responsible for persons missing coach departures at any point during the tour, for any reason whatsoever. There are NO REFUNDS for failing to be on time for the coach departure or for not being at the correct meeting point at the correct time. It is the customer's responsibility to contact the ITT office within 3 days of departure in order to obtain the correct departure time and location. It is also essential to provide a current phone number where you can be contacted in the event of any time or departure location changes. It is not the responsibility of the ITT office if messages left at your office are not given to you; or if the contact number that you provide is incorrect and we are unsuccessful in contacting you because of this.

PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. You are free to cancel at any time outside of 14 days prior to departure on specific trips. A cancellation within 14 days of travel, without the transfer supplement offered by the ITT office, will result in A LOSS OF ALL MONIES PAID, AND ANY BALANCE REMAINING WILL STILL NEED TO BE PAID IN FULL. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING EMERGENCY DUTY REQUIREMENTS OR ANY THREATS AND/OR TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS THAT MAY BE ISSUED AT/OR AROUND TIME OF TRAVEL. Full refunds are only given if the contractor cancels the tour. Transfer Supplement must be purchased outside of 14 days prior to travel or at time of booking.

All military personnel are required to check with their orderly room before going on leave outside of the UK.
